Matilda L. Bradford Memorial Church

The belfry of the church.

The Matilda L. Bradford Memorial Church along Jones avenue is the oldest Evangelical church in Cebu city. It was built in 1912 by Mrs. Dwight Day in memory of her mother, Matilda L. Bradford. The belfry contains a bell, dubbed as the Bradford Bell, which arrived from England and was made by the same maker of the Liberty Bell in the United States.

Matilda H. Bradford? All this time I thought it is Matilda L. Bradford. I spent my elementary years in the school affiliated with the church, and we were accustomed to the acronym MLBCS (Matilda L. Bradford Christian School). What could be the correct middle initial?
